Sumprabum (Burmese: ဆွမ်ပရာဘွမ်မြို့) is a town in the Kachin State of the northernmost part of the Myanmar. Suamprabom is a city in Kachin State. It is located between the headwaters of the Chindin River and the Malikha River, north of Myitkyina. It is about 80 miles north of Myitkyina. During the time of the British government, the Chin people in the mountains, who wanted independence, often rioted, so they set up a border division. It was a military town ruled by a border commissioner. It's very peaceful and thick with thick forests. Climate Sumprabum has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen climate classification Cwa), closely bordering on a subtropical highland climate
