The Kadu people (Burmese: ကတူးလူမျိုး; also spelt Kado) are an ethnic group in Myanmar. They speak the Kadu language.Most of them are Buddhists. They live in peace and honesty, and some make a living by catching elephants.The Kadu people belong to the ancient Thet ethnic group, and have the largest population among the five (5) sub-ethnic groups. According to the 1931 census, the population by ethnicity was about 360,000, and the number of people speaking the Kadu language was about 20,000.
